Informing Curious Minds on Life's Questions.

My First Post

Dear Reader,

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog. This is my first blog post. Inspiration comes from my big bro AJ.

I am not quite sure how to go about doing this….

But the best way to learn how to swim, in my opinion, is to throw yourself into deep waters.

This goal of this blog is to inform. synthesize, and reflect on whatever hecking topics interest me at the moment.

Education. Too often, relies on rote memorization, drilling, and learning just enough information to pass a multiple-choice test. In my opinion, these are incredibly low standards. (I will come back to this topic.)

I, personally, have 2 masters’ degree in the social sciences. I really dont think it means anything. Maybe because its in the social sciences so it doesn’t really count. But also because I don’t think it is indicative of being educated. Schooled? sure, but not educated.

The most learning/education that took place for me was outside of the classroom. By reading books about topics that interest me and learning from others.

It is hard for anyone to become a strong critical thinker with this approach.

For that reason, this space will serve as a place for me to practice what I preach—to become a stronger critical thinker, reflect on my ideas, connect them to other literature and topics, and synthesize information in a way that is digestible to the reader, all while improving as a writer.

I also don’t like posting on the internet. I should do it more and step out of my comfort zone. Allow my thoughts and ideas to be scrutinized by random people.

I will yap about many things in my blog posts to come. Some topics I want to discuss are psychology, education, family, religion, history and finance.

Thank you for reading. And please bear with me as I become a more skilled blogger
