Fraudulent Dreams

Living in a single family home in a suburban neighborhood with a white picket fence. With your 2 kids and spouse. youre car and house is fully paid. This is, more of less, “The American Dream”. This is supposed to be the goal. You are able to retire and dont have to live paycheck to paycheck anymore.

This is what people all over the world glamorize.

But how did this America dream come about? and how did the white picket fence come to symbolize the american dream?

This dream came with a price. Banks realized they could loan money out to make money. But they couldnt just loan money out for no reason. They had to have a reason. They needed to sell something.

What could be a reason people would want to take a loan from a bank? The answer they came up with? A house

They literally sold a dream so people would borrow money to finance it.

The american dream is commonly bought via a mortgage. Mortage comes from the latin words mort and gage. which means death pledge.

This house that you buy is not even yours until you pay it off. What happens if you miss a payment? The bank will take your house. This dream is not yours. Its borrowed.

People say the american dream is dead. I dont think so. People are still retarded enough to strive for it. It needs to die as an idea. it should not be something to strive for. There are two alternatives I have considered for myself.

I am actively working towards:

taking that same money I would get a house with and build a dividend portfolio. From the money I recieve, I can pay my rent with. This way I dont have any property tax. I dont have to worry about replacing the roof. And best of all, I am not tied to it. if I dont like my living situation, I just complete my lease and leave.

Another alternative I have considered is to buy a property for literally a fraction of the cost overseas. And work toward moving there. There is no property tax! Once i have that property no one can take it from me unless I want to sell it. I dont have to pay hoa.

Its propoganda for everyone to glamorize the american dream. The whole world wishes they lived here because there is so much opportunity. But if you live here, you fall into the trap of working til you die. You are compelled to keep up with your peers. You upgrade your standard of living with each salary increase, buy a new car ever couple of years, waste money on eating out and entertainment so you dont feel left out. And this way you are programmed to live paycheck to paycheck and be a slave to consumerism and mindless entertainment. One must be critical and rise above their desires and societal influences. (This is a reminder to myself before it is to anyone else)
